Jan Zwart
Jan Zwart was born and raised in the center of Amsterdam, The Netherlands.
He attended a technical school and specialized in ship's carpentry.
He lived on the Canary Islands, Spain, the U.S. and in the south of France and worked as
a fisherman, banana farmer, service station attendant and fois gras producer.

After travelling extensively in Africa, Asia and South America, he became a professional photographer
in 1986.
Since 1992 Jan is a member of the Photographers Association Netherlands (PANL) and has repeatedly
been honored, with the PANL Kodak Award (4 gold and 5 silver Awards, 9 Merits and 46 nominations).
Also, since 1998 Jan is a member of the Association of Photographers England.
The AOP has honored his work with 1 silver Award, 1 Merit and 2 nominations.

Jan Zwart is presently working out of the Netherlands for diverse clients such as Philips, KLM,
Heineken, Amstel Beer, ABN-Amro Bank, ING-Bank, Compaq, DAF, Mazda, Metro Group, Cargill,
Orange, Robeco,Vodafone,Murphy's Beer, Feadship, Mercedes, KPN, Terres Des Hommes, Plan,
Aids fonds, Salvation Army, and Landrover.

During his numerous assignments Jan Zwart has photographed in: Antiqua, Argentinie, Aruba,
Australia, Bonaire, Brazil, Barbedos, Bahamas, Botswana, Canada, China, Colombia, Curaqao,
